With the decorative adhesive and static-cling window films from d-c-fix, you can now give your chest of drawers, cupboard door, windows, shower cubicle or glass table a whole new look – quickly, easily and at low cost. Upcycling and customizing is the motto! And its works perfectly with the foils from the new “Eco Line.” Based on a new formula, they are PVC-free and feature a high-quality matte look. The “Eco Line” adhesive foils (in 67.5 x 150 cm format) are available in authentic wood decors, expressive solid colors and trendy designs. The window film range currently includes four designs ranging from simple to playful and which are suitable for both decoration and elegant privacy protection. As they are static-cling films, you do not need any adhesive, so they are even easier to work with.

Step 1

Required tools

The dimensions are transferred to the back of the foil by hand using a ruler.
Step 2

Transfer the dimensions of the piece of furniture being decorated onto the back of the foil

Foil is cut with scissors.
Step 3

Cut the foil

Hand peels off the backing paper from the foil.
Step 4

Slowly peel off the backing paper from the foil

Smoothing blade ensures that the foil is applied firmly.
Step 5

Press down the foil onto the piece of furniture little by little using the smoothing blade

Step by step: Static-cling window films

Overview of the tools needed for your DIY work.
Step 1

Required tools

Measure the width of the window manually using a tape measure.
Step 2

Use a straight-edge ruler or tape measure to measure the exact width of the area to be covered and determine its position. Then clean the window thoroughly.

Cut the foil to size using a utility knife and straight-edge ruler.
Step 3

Use a utility knife and straight-edge ruler to cut the film to the dimensions you have measured.

The window is to be sprayed with application fluid using a spray bottle.
Step 4

Spray the desired window surface generously with water or application fluid.

Carefully remove the backing film from the window film.
Step 5

Carefully remove the backing paper from the window films.

Properly position the window film on the window.
Step 6

Position the cut piece of film in the desired position on the window.

Apply the foil to the window using a smoothing blade.
Step 7

Use a smoothing blade, firmly press down the foil from the center outwards to the sides so that any excess water is pushed out by the blade.

Thoroughly dry the window surface using a cloth.
Step 8

Finally, use a cloth to wipe the glass surface and the window dry.
