Beige, Please! Creating Your Own Coffee Table Is Easy.

Beige, Please! Creating Your Own Coffee Table Is Easy.

Easy. Stylish. Cool. That’s the best way to describe this coffee table DIY. Firstly, it’s super easy because you only need three equally sized chipboard or wood panels. Secondly, it’s stylish, as the d-c-fix adhesive film “Marble Fontana Beige” creates a sophisticated marble look. And thirdly, it’s cool, as the end result is a modern travertine table. Preparation

Hands hold the yard stick alongside the panel.
Step 1

To begin with, the surfaces of the panels to be covered are measured using a yard stick.

Pencil draws a marking on the rear side of the adhesive film.
Step 2

The dimensions are then transferred to the backing paper of the Marble Fontana beige adhesive film, leaving a little overhang. Make sure that you cover all sides of the panels!

A utility knife cuts the film along the ruler.
Step 3

Then cut the various pieces of adhesive film to size using a ruler and a utility knife.

Smoothing blade moves over the adhesive film.
Step 4

Peel the backing paper off of the film and stick the piece of film onto the corresponding panel. To do this, apply the adhesive film, press it down with the palm of your hand and then smooth it in place using the smoothing blade.

Scissors cut diagonally into the excess film at a corner.
Step 5

Cut the adhesive film diagonally at the corners with the scissors – this is the best way to cover the corners and edges.

The table base is already glued together and the mounting adhesive is applied to the top panel.
Step 6

Now glue two of the panels together with the mounting adhesive to create a table base. Then glue the third panel onto the table base. The travertine table is finished.

You did it!
